Sturgeon Heights Huskies senior attackman Hudson Parnell took a commanding lead in MHSFLL Men's Division I scoring, posting 8 goals and 3 assists over two games in the opening weekend of the 2023 season.
"Huddy can do it all for us. At any position he plays, he makes an impact. Last year he played a lot of defense, this year he's thriving in a more offensive role on the attack line. We're lucky to have a versatile player like that who can adapt to the needs of the team and excel.", said Huskies Head Coach Kevin Hilder.
Huskies junior Rhylan Baxter also had a weekend, with 6 goals and 1 assist over the two contests. Senior midfielder Dustin Morden came away with 4 goals and 2 assists while dominating the faceoff X.
The 3x defending champion Huskies start the season 2-0 with wins against Oak Park and Beliveau, with goalkeeper Jordan Picklyk yet to concede a goal.
